Our Surgeons

How we choose
your surgeon.

Korea has thousands of doctors who will perform a facelift. Chloe works with a very small number of them. Every surgeon must meet all seven of the standards below — not most of them, all of them — before we will arrange a single consultation.

i.

Board-certified, without exception

Every surgeon is a board-certified plastic surgeon — in Korea, a specialist qualification (성형외과 전문의) that many doctors performing cosmetic procedures do not hold. It is the first thing Chloe checks, and it is not negotiable. Our safety guide explains how to check any surgeon yourself.

ii.

Ten years, at minimum

At least a decade in practice as a specialist. The facelift is unforgiving of inexperience; we want surgeons who have seen every kind of face, and every kind of complication, many times over.

iii.

Between one and two hundred facelifts a year

Craft is born of volume. Our surgeons perform facelifts weekly, often daily — this is their discipline, not one procedure among many.

iv.

Deep-plane or high-SMAS technique

The approaches that lift the deeper structures of the face rather than tightening the skin — producing results that read as rest, not surgery, and that last. We do not arrange facelifts by any other method.

v.

An anaesthesiologist on site, throughout

Anaesthesia is given and monitored by a dedicated anaesthesiologist present for the whole procedure — never by the operating surgeon alone. And if, on the day, the surgeon or anaesthesiologist judges surgery unsafe for you, it does not go ahead.

vi.

An inpatient ward for the first night

The facility must have its own ward for your overnight stay after surgery, with clinical staff on hand. Chloé Privé's own carer stays beside you that night as well — so you are never alone, and never without someone who speaks your language.

vii.

Results, shown to you privately

Every surgeon we work with permits their results to be shown to you in your consultation — real cases, for faces like yours, with the surgeon's own account of what was done. We do not publish them, and we never will.

Why no names

Why we don't
list them here.

You will meet your surgeon by name, by video, and in person — long before anything is decided. But we do not publish our surgeons on this page.

Partly it is discretion: the surgeons we work with are chosen for their hands, not their marketing, and several prefer it that way. Partly it is honesty: the right surgeon depends on your face, your age, your goals and your health, and a list invites you to choose before anyone has looked at you properly. Chloe makes the match after your consultation, and explains exactly why.

What they perform

The facelift, and
what belongs with it.

Our surgeons are engaged for facial rejuvenation surgery only. The core procedure, and those most often combined with it:

  • Deep-plane face and neck lift Core
  • SMAS lift Core
  • Endotine forehead lift Core
  • Lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelids) Often combined
  • Sub-brow lift Often combined
  • Philtrum reduction Often combined

Which procedures suit you, and whether combining them is advisable, is a clinical judgement made by your surgeon. Fees are shown on our home page and compared with Australia in our cost guide.

How we are paid

On your side
of the table.

You pay the clinic directly for your surgery, at the clinic's own fee. Chloé Privé is compensated by the clinic for arranging your care — which is why our concierge service, your interpreter, the carer, the meals and the tour cost you nothing further.

We tell you this plainly because it matters that you know where we stand. Our interpreter works for you, not the clinic. Our surgeons are chosen to the standards above, not by what they pay. And if Chloe's honest view is that surgery is not right for you, she will say so, and there is no fee for the conversation.

Chloe

Who does
the choosing.

Chloe selects every surgeon personally and conducts every consultation herself, from Sydney. She has spent years around Korean plastic surgery — its clinics, its surgeons, and the patients who travel for it — and she knows the difference between a well-marketed clinic and a genuinely good surgeon.

Chloe is not a medical practitioner and does not give clinical advice; that is your surgeon's role, and yours together. Her role is to know who is genuinely excellent, to sit on your side of the table, and to make the fortnight effortless.
